Jeremy's said this several times now over the last few weeks: he wants to learn to play the cello. He said it again with great (three-year-old) conviction while we were listening to our regular Sunday morning concert with breakfast; this morning a CD of Dvorak's Cello Concerto. I've thought for a long time that if I had the time and the resources, one of the first things I'd do is learn to play the cello. It's a lovely, soothing, melodic instrument that sounds great by itself and in ensemble. If Jeremy choose the cello and stays with it, even if it means carrying that big case around school for years, I will be very happy.
