Today, we were a stereotype: we took
Harry to a suburban shopping mall. We had our baby and we were among others
with babies and toddlers and strollers. A gift certificate from a baby learning
store brought us there and our original intent was to go, make our purchase,
and leave. But, after sleeping in the car on the way, Harry woke up going
inside and, like the being at the airport,
was fascinated by all the new lights and sights. So, we decided to be a little
more casual about our exit.
We walked the mall slowly, letting Harry take in what he could. Of course,
as the stereotypical parents with nothing better to do at a mall, we gravitated
toward the baby shops and even made an impulse purchase. It was just a little
cap with a visor because Harry will be in the sun next weekend, and was only
$7. And, he looks so cute in it.
