March 17, 2000 - Friday
I don't know if this is circumstantial evidence gone awry, but it seems like Harry is crankiest after he's been doing something exciting. I know, parents always want everything explained, but the day before Harry had his meltdown was his first day looking at all the light and sights at the mall. The day before his drug-aborted meltdown in Mexico was his first day at the beach. But more than that, he seems to get starved for more excitement after doing something new and different. Sometimes I think it's a case of a young brain in motion wanting to stay in motion. I suppose the more logical explanation is that he's just tired, but somehow that doesn't seem to answer it. For example, we had a busy morning today - reading a couple books, playing on the Gynimi, lying on his chest trying to get up, playing guitar (I played the guitar, Harry just listened), and touching stuffed animals. But, he also had two naps so he shouldn't be too tired, yet he was a cranky in the afternoon. Hmmmm.
