Today was a day of profoundly mixed emotions
(not really, but those who know me might like to think so): we bought Harry
his first shoes. He did have a pair of hand-me-downs this past spring, but
he wasn't using his feet much at that point and wore them no more than once.
Now that he's standing and cruising the furniture, and now that he's going
to a daycare, crawling in the dirt at parks, and with autumn coming along,
maybe it's time for shoes. Fortunately, while he seems mildly curious about
the things on his feet, he's thus far shown none of the blatant annoyance
at shoes that I reportedly did at his age.
Comments, opinions?
