For the third night in a row tonight Jeremy screamed for the about a half
an hour before finally settling down to sleep. Tonight was probably the worst
of yet (although, unlike the last two nights of noise, Harry didn't wake up).
However, for the last two nights Jeremy has also gone on from that to sleep
the entire night from some time between 11:30 and midnight until after 6:00am.
It's an intriguing trade.
Another less brazen trade is that for some time now Harry has been effectively
calling his mother and I by saying "mommy coming" or "daddy
coming." I'm pretty sure he knows enough language now so I could quite
quickly correct this little misstep of grammar and he really almost has it
already and does demand that "daddy, come!" or "mommy, come!"
when he's trying to be especially forceful. But, somehow, I find the more
gentle "daddy coming" (it's a little like the formal command form
in Spanish) more appealing than the more brash alternative and I've let it
go thus far. I figure we're probably not holding Harry back too much by letting
this error work itself out in its own time.
