"The way he speaks he ought to be in TV commercials." It's an interesting thought, I suppose. I suppose, too, that the thought crossed my mind when Harry was such a cute toddler, but I can't say I ever took it very seriously. It's true, I think, that his small size and excellent speech could make Harry an endearing figure; in fact, it does at preschool, where people are constantly talking about it. On the other hand, I'm not sure how Harry would do in any sort of reciting on-demand situation before a camera. He's a pretty independent minded person and if he didn't feel like doing something, it just wouldn't happen. But, perhaps I'll have to keep it in mind next time I have the camcorder out.
