It's amazing how liberating and relaxing just a pint of beer at a pub can feel for two parents sans enfant. While the boys were being entertained by a couple of their mother's co-workers this afternoon and evening, she and I went to view artwork at a local artists' open studios, had a pint at a pub, and then an Indian dinner at an old haunt. It's ordinary stuff, sure, but not with two kids. But then, neither is a simple uninterrupted conversation and that's what makes taking these moments at every opportunity so important.
