This all important Cranberry Honey Mustard is what Jeremy calls his "Dippin' honey" and it seems like he asks for it with just about every dinner we eat, save pizza and spaghetti. Just about anything that he picks up with his fingers, which is admittedly fair more than we'd like him to, gets dipped in the dippin' honey, including raw carrots, cooked beans, and any sort of non-stringy pasta. In a lot of ways, this dippin' honey captures Jeremy's entire approach to dinners: he picks up individual pieces of ziti, or beans or carrots, and carefully dips the tip in the dippin' honey before each bite, seemingly savoring every one. It's indicative of the luxuriousness with which he approaches food; or rather, food that he likes. And, that's kind of the down side of Jeremy's eating. First, he's a slow when he likes the food. When he doesn't like it, dinner can be very long indeed. The dippin' honey helps make some less favorite foods all right, and by that it is very important for him and us. Because when he doesn't like the food, he really doesn't like to eat. Fair enough, but if it were up to Jeremy alone he'd eat only dessert. We think we need to teach him to eat other things, too.
