Certainly the highlight of my week-long business trip was getting back to my hotel room at the end of the day today and receiving an email from my father, Harry's Grandpa Hal, that included these (and particularly this) pictures from Harry's Pre-Kindergarten graduation ceremony.

This first picture (top right) is Harry walking in with his two best friends Rip and Connor. Another friend, Aidan, is in the blue stripes emerging from behind the tree. To the left, the school principle, Mr. Bob, is handing out the diplomas.

This graduation ceremony, caps with tassels and diplomas, would have been over the top, Harry's mother told me on the phone, had it not been that the caps were made of paper tops stapled to black plastic fruit bowls and white yard tassels. The diplomas were nicely handmade and made the whole thing serious, but not too serious.

It's an event that I had to miss, but at least Harry's mother and grandparents were there. And apparently Jeremy skipped class inside to watch, too.
