I bought Harry a new booster seat for the car at earlier this week. I did it to make it a little easier for Aidan's mother when she was bringing him and Rip home after school, but also because Harry's old enough to use a booster rather than a full car seat. It will be easier on trips to the dump when he needs to sit in the front seat and it will be easier to have when we switch the boys seats from the Tracker to the Subaru.

Tonight we may have started a new ritual for Thursday nights. The boys have their music lessons, Jeremy's first at 5:15, then Harry at 6:30. We've been having a "picnic" dinner at the music school between the two and mommy's train arrives just in time for her to join us. Tonight after the lessons Harry rode home with me in the front seat of the Subaru and Jeremy with mommy in the Tracker. Admittedly, it would be safer for Harry to be in the back seat, but he gets such a thrill out of sitting in the front on these special occasions. I remember the same feeling from when I was a boy.
