     Poor Paavo
the cat: he's clearly gotten the short end of the attention-getting stick
now that Harry's around. Yet, much to his credit, and our sanity, he doesn't
seem to resent Harry for it nor has he shown any sign of greatly changing
his behavior. In fact, he's often just hanging around, seemingly unconcerned
with the baby. What's all the worse for for him, we chastize him for just
being a cat. For example, when Harry is napping and Paavo comes calling with
his loud voice just looking for affection, we give him the shoo business.
He can't know what's going on and that the baby's nap times are precious moments
that need to last as long as possible so we can get things done.

What's worse is when Harry gets upset by something or other and Paavo decides
he wants in on whatever action is happening.
He doesn't know any better, of course, but his piercing catcall rarely helps
the situation and is often more penetrating than Harry's particular noise.
Perhaps, he's just trying to tell us that he thinks something is wrong, which
would be very helpful if Harry was in a diffferent room and had fallen or
something. However, that's typically not been the situation and we generally
know when Harry is in poor disposition. Alas, poor Paavo has historically
not been that helpful. But, he's just a cat, and fortunately a very good cat
    with Harry.
