Some days Harry seems smart beyond his days, with curiosity and progress that makes his father proud. Many days, however, I realize again that he is just a helpless infant with much to learn about the world around him. I'm still proud, of course, and enjoying the ride that billions of parents before me have taken.

This picture was not staged. Harry was just lying there, apparently distracted from his previous effort to eat the foot off his toy stuffed horse.
