I took Harry jogging
for the first time, finally starting my annual summer jogging ritual in preparation
for a family race in August. We bought one of those baby joggers with the
big wheels, though not the Baby Jogger brand, because both Harry's mother
and I think we need to get out more now that the weather is improving. The
model we bought has a sun canopy that can either retract fully or has a velcro
sun roof that opens to expose a plastic window down into the baby chair. Unfortunately,
seeing the top and back of Harry's head didn't give me any indication of how
he was enjoying the ride and the scenery. In fact, while I was out with him
I kept thinking Harry had fallen asleep because I couldn't see his head move
at all. I'm sure it's not that I was running so fast that the world was mesmerizing
him, but for whatever reason, he didn't seem to be looking around all that
much. Maybe, next time we'll need to find a different route.
