    22, 2000 - Friday
We started a new schedule a couple of
days ago that seems to be working out well. Harry eats breakfast in the car
    during our morning commute.
A bowl of cereal and milk doesn't work so well in a moving car, but Harry's
dry cheerios, jar of baby oatmeal and fruit, or a special cereal bar for babies
seem to do just fine. Best of all, rather than my feeding Harry after dropping
his mother off - and essentially strapping him in another chair after spending
an hour in the car - this way, we have an hour to go to the park, a store
that's open early, or just have fun around the lab for a little while before
    he goes to daycare.

The four hours I used to spend with Harry in the mornings were very nice,
though admittedly a little long when I had other pressing matters to attend
to. Forty-five minutes to an hour may be a little shorter than ideal, but
it is a nice amount of time with Harry and not so long that I can't rationalize
    the lost time from work.
