This morning at the breakfast table Harry started playing
with the tablecloth with his index finger. It was innocent enough on the surface,
but Harry wasn't just fidgeting. As his finger moved forward across the tablecloth,
the material bunched up and appeared to move in a small, rolling mound just
ahead of his finger. Harry called it "waves," presumably imagining
the rolling ocean he had seen over the summer. Then, he pointed to the checker
pattern in the tablecloth and said it was an "H." Those little acts
are still pretty innocent, but it seems to me that aside from rote learning,
Harry is also showing that he is using his imagination.
