"Jeremy is starting to show a little bit of a temper," says his
doting baby-sitter. That sounds a little worse than it is. What she means
is that Jeremy is starting to flex his toddler muscle and make more overt
demands for what he thinks he wants. We've noticed it, too. I'm pretty sure
some of his recent, loud behavior is the result of his molars cutting through,
but even still Jeremy is starting to want more aggressively and starting to
understand the cause and effect of getting his wants.
But, I've been through this with Harry and there's less mystery about what
is happening and less question about what we should be doing. Jeremy is in
for a heavy dose of blank stares at unsavory behavior, especially because
it seems to work so well against his generally agreeable personality. I think
he'd rather be nice anyway.
