"Why didn't you call on the phone?" Harry asked as I was leaving his room at bedtime.
"Because I knew I would get home in time to see you before you went to sleep." I was driving back from a short, two-night business trip. I left after the boys were asleep on Monday night, called last night, and drove home tonight. Apparently, Harry is learning the routine of my business trips, although interestingly my explanation didn't actually satisfy him immediately. He asked again and I needed to be a little more specific about wanting to see him and talk to him rather than talking over the phone.
