25, 2004 - Sunday
I slept in a sleeping bag at the Vermont House an awful lot as a kid and always
loved it, as best as I can remember. Now it seems that Harry and Jeremy are
taking to it in a similar way, although why wouldn't a kid love something
a sleeping bag. They are cozy and even in the summer, at least this weekend,
the nights here tend to stay cool enough. And, sleeping bags are something
a little different and novelty is almost always a good thing for kids.
I took these
pictures because, amazingly, the boys both slept longer than I did this morning.
A lot of that has to do with the fact that it's easy to go to sleep early
at the cabin because the propane and kerosine lamps are never as bright as
the electric lights we live with normally. But, I was pretty tired this weekend
to begin with and was probably asleep by a little after ten.
