We got the boys swimming evaluations at this week's lesson. Harry, it said, it definitely ready to move up to the next level. We'd thought that he might be in terms of his confidence swimming, but we really didn't have any idea of the criteria and had wondered about his apprehension to blowing bubbles (we've tried to work on that this past week in the bath tub). The teacher said Jeremy is making great progress, but needs a little more work before he moves up. That's not surprising. They are both very enthusiastic, but the physical differences in motor skills between 3- and 5-year-olds is very big and their respective progress really shows it.
We signed them up for the next session of lessons. When we got home I made a point of taking Harry aside and telling him that he would be moving up to a more advanced level than Jeremy and that I was very proud that he was learning so quickly.
