July 12, 2005 - Tuesday
We made two stops after leaving grandpa and grandma's house this morning (after one more game of war, this time with grandpa) as we headed east toward home, although I don't have pictures from either. The first was the Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, a fairly new National Park Service location that is preserving a shortlived, but critical piece of American's westward expansion. The boys got to watch a little movie about the short railroad that took cargo over the mountains and then see a little bit of how it worked by visiting the steam engine house. The second place was the Little League Museum in Williamsport. We drove that far because the boys got into a movie in the back seat and because tomorrow night has a chance of being bad weather for camping. We spent tonight at Ricketts Glen State Park.
