June 19, 2005 - Sunday
The boys had been working on their Father's Day presents at school and neither gave away the secret. Actually, when I picked them up at school this week and found various things in their cubby, it was Harry who overtly told me they were secrets and that I couldn't look at them. Jeremy just stay quiet about it until this morning.
Jeremy's present was this little piece of wook with a hook on to hang from the wall, another hook on the face to hang something on for safe keeping (keys perhaps), and the design was a brown -paint print of Jeremy's little hand. I recognized it right away (although, mommy, to the amazement of the teachers, apparently picked it out of a group of similr ones just by looking at it last week while I was away). Notice how patiently Harry
is waiting with his present.
It was a calendar with rip-off pages for all the months through the next school year and featuring a picture Harry drew, interestingly, of the our neighbor Kevin's barn with me and Kevin appearantly buidling it together. It's a cool barn, with an upper floor to run around in as Harry drew and a workshop in the basement but I didn't help build it. I just took the boys up to see it a few times, including, not surprisingly, recently to run around in the attic and look out the top doors Harry also drew.
