Talk about new beginnings. This is the new year I, and probably everyone else,
have been anticipating most of my life. I used to think about how old I'd be.
I also used to think that I'd have kids that would at least be old enough so
I could go to a really big party, but the importance of those things has changed
somewhat since I first thought of them as a kid. One thing is true and that
is that I do, in fact, have a child. Talk about new beginnings. He couldn't
have come at a better time.
