Harry's eating
is going quite well following his apparent, and hopefully temporary, dislike
for sweet potatoes. Since his introduction
to peaches a week and a half ago, his mother has also tried carrots and,
today, butternut squash with reportedly great success. He really seems to
be getting the hang of it, though unfortunately, I haven't been around very
much to witness the progress.
Since I take care of Harry at home in the mornings, I tend to stay in the
lab into the evenings until after Harry's mother has given him his dinner.
I've been home on a couple of occasion, and have taken some pictures and some
video, but most of the time I'm not there. Of course, on the one hand, that's
just fine. How many times do I need to see Harry with white and orange mush
all around his mouth and on his bid? However, there is an inkling that every
know and then I might be missing some big moment of Harry's day and a significant
part of his development.
For better or worse, a solution seems to be at hand that will end this personal
puzzlement. Harry's mother says it's time we start feeding Harry solid food
twice a day. I'd do the first one, some time before noon, and she'll continue
to feed him in the evenings.
