At about 10:30
this morning I started my purposed routine of feeding
Harry solid food in the mornings. Our idea was really that I would give him
this second daily meal a little closer to lunch time, but today Harry was
getting hungry and was clearly going to need something. So, rather than filling
him up on milk and then not eat his cereal and carrots until much later, I
thought I ought just get on with it. Harry seemed ready. In fact, as
I have witnessed before, Harry was showing his enthusiasm even as I was
readying his provisions, sitting in his chair bouncing in anticipation. At
least, it seemed like anticipation, since Harry is not often so happy about
being parked in his chair these days. Of course, it's impossible to know.
His interest in the meal itself was mildly less enthusiastic. He did fine
with the Rice Cereal, but seemed not to be as fond of the carrots today, only
finishing half the usual helping.
