For the third time this month,
we visited Harry's doctor about his ear.
The first time, they couldn't see anything wrong, couldn't explain the oozing
that was coming from his ear, and sent him away. The second time, they couldn't
see anything wrong, but since his ear didn't seem to be healing on its own,
prescribed three different medicines: one internal and two different sets
of drops. The medicine seemed to work well because within a week of the ten
day treatment, Harry's ear had dried up and was visibly better. However, they
wanted to see for themselves and had him come back in to check it. That checkup
was today and they still couldn't see anything out of the ordinary that might
have caused the oozing, but agreed that he seemed better. But, just to be
sure, they think that maybe one more visit will do it. We'll go back in two
more weeks and they will be able to declare Harry's ear healthy, though I'm
betting they still won't be able to see anything and won't have much of a
clue as to what the trouble was. But, that's OK, they don't have to go anywhere
out of their way to see us, and get paid every time we go in, so it's no trouble.
And, of course, we won't want to do anything to jeopardize our baby's hearing.
