April
26, 2001 - Thursday
I've said this before, but I'm
again amazed by returning home after being away for a few days and seeing
how much Harry's features seemed to changed in such a short time. Although,
I have to admit, this time I came back to notice just how long his hair was.
That clearly didn't happen in the four days I was away. I tend to believe
that spend so much time staring at his little face that these more peripheral
aspects of his appearance easily go unnoticed.
Harry didn't giggle with glee when I picked him up at daycare - I wonder if
he's already starting to try and "play it cool" - but he was noticeably happy
and grinning as I picked him up and twirled him around. The most notable development
since I've been away, other than his hair, is that Harry has learned the word
"cool" and says it was exactly the proper inflection of an adolescent. And,
it makes a wonderful tandem with his previously learned "wow." All evening
he was going around saying, "wow, cool" as various objects struck his fancy.
"Truck, wow, cool."
