I'm beginning to think that Harry
likes being at his daycare more than at home. That doesn't mean he'd rather
be with his daycare provider than with his parents, and I don't think that's
the case, but there is more to do there, other kids, and many more toys. He
seems always ready to "go, go" in the morning, and anxiously lets me put on
his shoes and socks, then waits by the door as I get my things together. Then,
in the afternoon after the apparently obligatory "daddy" of recognition when
I walk in, he'll often go back to playing. Today, it was in the sandbox, but
whether it's that or the toy cars, dinosaurs, or plastic chainsaw, he seems
quite content to do more and almost inevitably puts up something of a minor
protest when I pick him up to go. Fortunately, he also seems to have a fine
time in our yard when we get home.
