For a few weeks now, Harry has been calling his mother by her first name and
sometimes by "Dear," a term of endearment that I occasionally use
with her. There's little doubt where this came from, especially since his predominant
use is to yell it when she is not in the room and he wants her for something.
We tried to discourage this right away, but unfortunately it seems that if his
mother and I are ever to request each other's attention, then we are going to
re-enforce this first name basis addressing. Harry doesn't do it all the time,
only, it seems, like when he really needs to get our attention. And, while it
has been just his mother until now, today I heard Harry calling me down for
dinner using my first name.
