After four nights of not knowing whether Jeremy was serious or not saying he wanted me to put his crib side back on, I decided this evening he was and put it back on. I was suspicious that he was simply trying to delay bedtime by asking for me to do it right as I would put him in his crib. He often now pouts and asks for mommy to come in and say goodnight again it what also seems like an emerging stall tactic. But, tonight I asked him if he wanted it back on before I even started stories (I said it would mean we'd have less time for stories, although I don't have great confidence that negotiation with time means much to a two-year-old).
