Jeremy's been working the flattery lately, emotively saying things like "Mommy, I love you," and "I like you." Often times at meals lately he's been saying things like "Mommy, you make the best peanut butter and jelly ever," or "daddy, you make the best chocolate milk ever." This is not, I don't think, a follow-on reaction to his recent behavior because he's been doing it off and on for a few weeks. Although, there have been times recently, those times when his parents have had to be parents with him, that he's said things like "I don't like mommy and I don't like daddy." Interestingly, I sense something of a similar emotional level in both the positive and the negative, but he gets a lot better feedback with the positive.
