It's been only about a month since Jeremy first slept in his daybed-style open crib. And, it's only been a couple of weeks since, after going back and forth, that he decided that he like it. But already, he's in a "big bed" and he seems to like that even better.

It's a bedframe just like Harry's, made long ago by their material grandmother's father 's, that has been waiting in the basement for Jeremy to come of age, so to speak, and for us to get a mattress. new big bed. That mattress arrived a little ahead of schedule this past week when mommy and I just got a new mattress and, through a buy one-get one offer, ended up with a free twin mattress for Jeremy. This is similar to the point in Harry's life when we set up his bedframe, but Harry was actually much younger getting out of the crib and onto a mattress because we needed to have the crib ready for Jeremy's birth. However, it's been pretty clear that Jeremy liked the relative comfort and safety of the crib and would not have been ready. Now, it's pretty clear he is and seems quite proud of himself and his new "big bed."
