Ever since Harry's old Pre-K class made a what-are-you-going-to-be-when-you-grow-up poster (about last February) Harry's been saying he's going to be a "worker," meaning a construction worker. Lately, he's been more reinforcing about that declaration more as Jeremy so often talks about being a firefighter.

"No, Jeremy, I'm a worker," he'll say, or, "no, Jeremy, I'm going to be a worker."
"Hey, Harry, how about being a construction supervisor?" I'll ask, somewhat rhetorically. He doesn't go for it because he doesn't understand. He wants to be a "worker."

Of course, he's really saying he wants to drive an excavator and build things and when he says it that way it sounds more enchanting. But, somehow when he just says he wants to be a "worker" I can't help thinking that, in a Huxleyan "Brave New World" kind of way, Harry's got more potential.
