I'm afraid we didn't quite capture the true essence of the "Lava Dude" (below) in Harry's costume this year. Luckily, Harry was quite taken with it, although I suspect that had more to do with the novelty of the mask than the overall look. The Lava Dude is a "Bionicle" Lego character from a movie Harry has been watching. It's what he said he wanted to be and we tried to do it. His second choice, first choice some of the time, was the evil Bionicle Rakshee that has snakes coming out of its mouth. At least the Lava Dude is a good guy and did have those. I think orginally we hoped that we might just buy aBionicles costume at a store, but I guess they're not popular enough (one guy at a iParty store did admit he'd been asked before). Even still, Harry's movie is a year old and has been superceded by a newer Bionicle movie so we couldn't even get the Lava Dude at a toy store any more.

On the other hand, I think we nailed it with Jeremy. Isn't he adorable?
