Somewhat surprisingly, the boys have been asking me lately to play music from the car radio loudly. They've often in the past asked "can we have a song," instead of the NPR talk that I'm more in the habit of listening to myself. Atg their urging music in the car has become a lot more common anyway (and that's probably for the best). But now they want it louder. It's surprising because small children generally don't like loud noises and both Harry and Jeremy have been concerned about loudness on many occasions. Yet, interestingly, it's the younger Jeremy who's usually asking most.

One possible clue to this louder music listening is that Jeremy has also been asking "what's this song about." So, perhaps he's just asking for it to be louder so he can hear the words better. Or, maybe it's just a foreshadowing of his teenage years...
