This picture of Harry in the park from yesterday really isn't all that special to look at. It's just a boy and it's hard to even tell that it's Harry. Except, to me, it's a remarkable image. It's a picture of someone who, for this given moment, I know as well as any person can know another. To me, it is unmistakably Harry, with sneakers and a long-sleeved shirt that he's recently learned to tie around his waist and therefore thinks it's pretty cool, happily running amongst the pigeons, trying to catch one, or trying to make them fly, or maybe a little of both, but mostly just running freely with friendly birds and nature and a feeling that for this moment the world is a good place, a happy place, his place, and he's smiling, his usual inner intensity is at ebb, and he's as comfortable as the weather on this spring day. To me, that boy is unmistakably Harry, but it might as well be me about thirty-seven years ago.
