The boys both talked to me on the phone today and each one talked for several minutes. It's possible that it's because they were just stuck in the car and didn't have anything else to do, but that's still OK. Actually, I talked to Harry first for a long time and didn't get to talk to Jeremy until they were nearing a bad cell spot near home. We had trouble hearing each other, so I eventually just called back on the house phone after I could hear him say they'd reached the garage. Then I talked to him for a long time. Harry talked about his first drum lesson of the year. Abe gave him a rock-n-roll beat to work on, he said. But then Harry started asking questions about Denver and the streetcar whistle he could hear in the background that sounded like a train and it was the same kind of questioning mode he gets into at bedtime when he's trying to keep me around a little while longer. Jeremy was kind of just chatting, the way he does.
