December 31, 2001 - Monday
What are we going to do for New Year's Eve? We have two young children. What can we do? I suppose if we were committed to the idea of going out we could have found somewhere we could take the kids. Or, we could have gotten a baby-sitter. But, I'm not sure New Years Eve is as important as that. We thought about calling some friends with young kids and getting together, but still the logistics of moving kids around seemed overly ambitious this year. So, we stayed home. Harry went to sleep at the normal time and so did Jeremy for the most part. Neither had any concept of the year passing, leaving their mother and me to see it pass together. We did not fall asleep at the normal time.
