When Harry was some two months I started playing
with his legs, pumping his feet in something of a running motion. He seemed
to like it quite a bit and always seemed to be asking for more. Jeremy started
today to respond it a similar way, but when I'd move his arms. When I'd do
his legs, he seemed interested, but not overly stimulated. Yet moving his
arms and hands in a pseudo clapping motion, or raising both arms over his
head in a mock cheer, got Jeremy laughing and oohing and aahing.

I've been trying this type of thing for a couple of weeks with Jeremy and
I think I see a clear difference now. I think he has turned an important developmental
corner in his awareness of his surroundings. He can now clearly following
objects that are several feet away and he responds to smiles and laughter.
    He's starting to interact.
