For about the last week, Jeremy has been the master of good-byes, waving his
hand at any hint of a departure. I drop him off for daytime care and before
I'm done talking with his babysitter he starts waving good-bye to me. I'd
worry he'd had enough of me were it not for doing the same thing to Mary when
I pick him up in the afternoon. Even reading a story, Go Dog Go, he'll wave
bye-bye whenever we get to the part about 'not liking that hat, Goodby, Goodbye.'
Jeremy clearly learned the waving from his baby-sitter and that's much the
same as Harry, who learned to wave
bye-bye within a week after starting at a new family daycare.
