Surely these are among the most enjoyable and disarming parts of parenting:
watching the excitement and amazement of young eyes and minds confronted by
one of the world's fascinations, especially when it's something once similarly
enjoyed but now more often overlooked by time and repetition. This morning
a bright pink sunrise lit the clouds and sky above our front yard and neighbor's
house outside Harry's bedroom windows and he talked about it, pointed at it,
and tried to understand it for several happy minutes. Then, he went looking
for another one the rest of the day.
