"Well, I trucked around the corner and I trucked around the block,
and I trucked right into the donut shop.
I picked up a donut and a licked off the grease,
and I handed the lady a five cent piece.
Well, she looked at the nickle and she looked at me
and she said, "this nickle is no good to me.
There's a hole in the middle, I can see right through."
Said I, "there's a hole in the donut, too.
Thanks for the donut, so long."
That's one of a few ditties that Harry learned at summer camp this year and
probably the one he sings most often (the Grand
Old Flag is still popular, too), usually at random, idle times, and often
needlessly loudly. But, as Jeremy often happily says about so many things:
"that's OK." And, it is. I don't mind hearing Harry sing, although
we do curb it at the table.
