Harry was almost three years old
when he started hammering on "why?" By that measure, Jeremy, at
two and three months, is a prodigy. Or, maybe he's just a second child that
hears a, more often than not, diligent parental response when his brother
says "why." But, whatever the source of his inspiration, Jeremy
has found a new word and, all of a sudden, is taking great glee in using it.
Of course, with Jeremy, it's reasonably easy to see that the glee is, indeed,
more in asking the question and getting a response than from the answer itself.
    His great-grandfather, with whom
he shares a middle name, used to always quip with that same twinkle in his
    eye.
