We've thought about taking the train into the big city with the boys for a long time, every since Harry started liking trains, I suppose. That inevitable trip happened today and, not surprisingly, it was more about the train ride, subways rides, and the train ride back than it was about being in the city. Oh sure, our walk through the Public Garden, around the pond Harry knows from the book, and to these Make Way for Duckling statures was a nice time. And Harry does like the big buildings. But, the getting on and off the tolleys and trains was big deal. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. It was something new and different and that made it an exciting day.
