There's apparently
nothing like a good night's sleep for Harry because he's so often such a happy
baby in the morning. He talks, he kicks, he squeals in delight, and lately
he's been laughing. It's a wonderfully innocent and uninhibited laugh, much
like any baby I suppose, but it's such pure joy and it's my son. It's very
pleasing.
Actually, this new fancy with laughter made Harry pretty happy most of the
day. Once when he was lying on the floor, I made like I was falling and came
within a couple of inches from his face with my face. He apparently thought
that was about as funny as life could get. I did it again, of course, and
again, and Harry was beside himself with delight.
Boy, if I could store up this ability for use over the next 18 years that
would be the ticket, but I'm afraid as Harry gets more sophisticated these
moments of innocent happiness and laughter won't be so easy to come by. Or,
maybe they'll just be different.
