Harry's predilection for throwing rocks into the stream next door has become
a little too obsessive for my taste. It is, of course, something he probably
learned from me, but now he's starting to seemingly fill up the stream with
all the small and not so small rocks from around the area. What's worse, he
seems to have become an inspiration for the neighbor's older kids who can
lift and throw even larger stones into the stream. I suppose throwing rocks
into streams and other bodies of water and watching the splashes and skips
is the birthright of every boy, but perhaps we need to find some other bodies
of water that aren't in the neighbor's front yard. They probably don't really
mind, but it seems like a good idea not to get to a point when they do.
