How many two and a quarter year old boys can identify
the marking of a beaver? I wasn't sure ours could but the four
of us went for a walk this morning on some local conversation land and
came across a beaver chewed tree. I asked Harry about who had eaten the tree
and he smiled his proud, knowing grin and coyly said "beaver." Of
course, we spent much of the next fifteen minutes throwing sticks into the
pond.
How many two and a quarter year old boys make literary references walking
in the woods about Rabbit (from Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Too) getting lost
in the dark grove of trees? And, how many two and a quarter year old boys
walk down the street with a stick and stop to draw a surprisingly well-formed
"H" in the sand? Of all the two and a quarter year old boys that
play with their food, how many make a "Q" on the table at dinner
with spaghetti?
