May 20, 2002 - Monday
It's been two weeks since we started Harry's new daily
daycare schedule of 8:30-3:00, rather than coming home for naps on Tuesdays
and Thursdays and sometimes Wednesdays. The weekend after the first week was
the weekend at the cabin, so there wasn't any true
indication of change then. However, this past weekend, even with Harry's
mother's friends visiting, Harry took two solid naps at home. More importantly,
there was little of the resistance to napping to which we had grown accustom
over the last couple of months and Harry seemed both ready and willing when
1:00 naptime came around.
It's said that kids can adjust to anything, but that the lack of stability
is the most difficult. We hadn't thought napping at two different places should
be that big an issue, but perhaps to Harry, at least on some level, it was.
