It's impossible for me to look at this marble roll that we found at a neighbor's yard sale and not think how absolutely marvelous plastic has been for kids' toys. Marble rolls used to be made of wood and have two, maybe three, straight ramps and that was it. I still think this buildable marble roll is pretty cool and I'm almost 40 and can just imagine spending hours with it as a kid. Of course, this is just one example of plastic toys. We buy trucks and construction equipment toys for Harry in all sizes and that are made of plastic and there often less than $20 and they are so much cleaner, too. When I was a kid...
