We haven't used these cards much over the last four years, but we didn't throw them away either and today I got them out again. It didn't happen right away after Harry read the "Open" sign, although maybe that's just because I didn't notice that Harry's become very interested in reading. And he's doing very well. He's sounding out the words and today we started talking about vowels and syllables, although I called them "beats."
