For a long time when he's been asked who he plays with at school or who his
best friend is, Jeremy has been saying "Julia." He had to struggle
to come up with a name the first time I ask several weeks ago, but these days
"Julia" comes out fairly easily. .Still, is that out of habit or
conviction? This morning I had a rare moment to speak with Miss Lisa and ask
her whether the two get along particularly well. The answer was that she'd
seen no evidence of that. I mentioned my theory on that just being a name
he remembered. She said Jeremy most often plays with a boy named James, and
maybe one other who's name escapes me now. She mentioned that Julia is very
much a girlie girl, interested in dressing up and playing at "girl"
things. And then she added that it not unheard of that there might be a little
crush going on. Maybe, and that's cute, but I'd still lean toward my first
theory.
